Super Smart Animals
Super Smart Animals is a two-part documentary about intelligent animals from around the world. Liz Bonnin embarks on a journey to meet these remarkable creatures up close, with the help of their human teachers and companions. Ayumu, a chimpanzee living at the Primate Research Institute at Kyoto University and taught by Professor Matsuzawa, is able to remember the position of numbers on a computer monitor more accurately and quickly than most humans. Ronnie, a dolphin living at a diving resort in Honduras, can choreograph his own dance routine.
The documentary features skateboarding dogs, self-aware elephants, and joke-telling parrots from all corners of the planet. The stars of Super Smart Animals demonstrate that humans still have a great deal to learn about animal intelligence.
