Eat, Fast and Live Longer
Eat, Fast and Live Longer sees presenter Michael Mosley examine the effects of meal frequency and diet on lifespan. He assesses the impact of calorie-restricted diets and fasting on the human body.
Mosley’s interest in fasting is threefold: he wants to lose weight, minimise damage to the body, and live as long as possible. Frustrated by the lack of results from traditional approaches to good health, he speaks to several medical professionals who set him on a less conventional path. This leads him to meet a 101-year-old Indian marathon runner who attributes his long life and excellent health to a diet of small, simple meals.
