Chasing Coral documents the alarmingly fast-paced disappearance of one of the world’s seven natural wonders: the ocean’s elegantly constructed coral reefs.

With a team of expert nature photographers and camera operators, director Jeff Orlowski captures the inspiring beauty and biodiversity found within the coral reefs. In sometimes scary moments, the enormous footprint of man muddies the elegant grace of the coral. Whether plastic entanglements, missing patches, or rotting fragments, the film provides an unfiltered look at the anthropomorphic impact on these coral reefs.

Using marine biologists and other scientific experts, the terrifying quickness with which the coral reefs are disappearing is discussed in full detail. In between breath-taking colonies of these underwater living creatures, the film begs the question of why and wonders how it can be stopped.
