Dynasties
Dynasties is a BBC series narrated by David Attenborough that portrays the lives of several groups of endangered animals struggling to survive in their environments in the face of predators and the forces of nature. Five different species are followed: wolves, tigers, penguins, lions, and chimpanzees. They are presented as examples of endangered animals attempting to preserve their dynasties as the threat of extinction grows.
The series showcases these species within their natural environments, ranging from the frozen terrain of Antarctica to the dry heat of the Sahara. These remarkable animals demonstrate courage in the face of new threats that endanger both their own survival and that of their offspring. Natural predators invade their domains, alongside increasing human encroachment into their habitats. In addition, changes in weather, such as droughts, floods, and rising temperatures, alter patterns of behaviour and challenge their natural survival instincts.
