Planet Earth II
Planet Earth II is a compelling BBC nature series narrated by David Attenborough. The first nature documentary to be filmed in ultra-high definition, it showcases breathtaking scenery and extraordinary encounters from across the world, with its iconic theme music composed by Hans Zimmer. The series focuses on iconic habitats and the remarkable ways animals survive within them. The wildlife is spellbinding, the environments and landscapes are stunning, and the many featured encounters are thrilling.
Planet Earth II also explores one particular habitat that no other nature documentary had previously tackled: cities. By adopting the perspective of animals, as well as the wild foliage that finds its way into urban spaces, the series demonstrates just how resourceful and persistent life can be. It also highlights how innovative and adaptive ecosystems are, regardless of the obstacles they face.
The series is a sequel to Planet Earth (2006).
