Galapagos with David Attenborough

Galapagos with David Attenborough follows broadcaster and natural historian David Attenborough to one of the most unique and biologically diverse places on the planet: the Galapagos Islands. Renowned as the site of Charles Darwin’s evolutionary epiphanies, the Galapagos Islands are today home to hundreds of truly unique creatures that cannot be found anywhere else.

Attenborough takes time to explore the history of these strange and enchanting islands. He begins with the volcanoes that first formed the barren outcrops of rock in the middle of the sea and traces the islands’ development through their life cycle as volcanic offshoots. The film examines the creatures that find ways to live among the cracks, and the delicate balance each new species must strike between the harsh rocks and the vast, all-encompassing ocean that surrounds them.
